Delete your SpendMoth account

SpendMoth by MagiQa

You can request deletion of your SpendMoth account and the personal data we store for you. This page explains how to request deletion and what happens to your data.

How to request account deletion

  1. Email support@spendmoth.com from the email address on your SpendMoth account.
  2. Use the subject line: SpendMoth account deletion request.
  3. Include your username (and registered email if different from the sender).
  4. We will confirm your request by email and complete deletion within 30 days (usually sooner).

What we delete

When your account is deleted, we remove or anonymize:

  • Your account profile (username, email, name, password hash)
  • Credit and debit card records you entered
  • Expenses, income, payments, and transaction history
  • Categories, reports data, and notifications tied to your account
  • Profile photo (if you uploaded one)

What we may keep

  • Backups: Deleted data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days, then is purged automatically.
  • Legal / security: Minimal records we must retain for fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legal compliance (if applicable).

Partial data deletion (without deleting your account)

You can delete individual cards, expenses, and payments inside the SpendMoth app or web dashboard at any time. To remove specific data without closing your account, use those features or email support@spendmoth.com with details.
